Reading Thai from a photo
Thai is written in Thai script, which has no spaces between words. PointTranslate reads it with a vision model that sees the whole image at once, so it keeps lines and blocks together and translates them in context rather than character by character.
Tips for Thai photos
- Thai has no spaces between words, which makes it hard for older OCR tools. A vision model reads it as a whole phrase instead.
- Street stall signs are often handwritten on boards. Get close and avoid glare from plastic sheets.
- Spice levels are frequently written only in Thai (เผ็ด means spicy). The menu translator flags them in the dish note.

Can it read Thai handwriting?
